A plasmacytoma is a tumor made up of plasma cells that can be located in bone or in soft tissues.

What it is: It is a proliferation of a type of antibody-producing white blood cell, which is related to the group of gammopathies and myeloma.

Possible signs: Localized bone pain, fractures without great effort, or a palpable mass, depending on where it settles.
