Diagnostic hysteroscopy with biopsy is a study that allows the inside of the uterus to be viewed with a very thin camera inserted through the vagina and, at the same time, a small tissue sample to be taken for analysis. It combines direct observation with study of the endometrium.
When is it indicated? For abnormal uterine bleeding, polyps, suspected endometrial abnormalities, or infertility workup.
