Acute Myeloid Leukemia

AML, or acute myeloid leukemia, is a type of cancer of the blood and bone marrow that develops rapidly. In it, the marrow produces immature and abnormal blood cells that crowd out the healthy cells, affecting the production of red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets.
