Impetigo

Impetigo is a common skin infection, especially in childhood, that mainly affects the superficial layers. It is characterized by lesions that can form yellowish-looking crusts and is usually contagious.

Frequent symptoms: the appearance of blisters or sores, often around the nose and mouth, that break and form crusts.

Common causes: it is due to bacteria that enter through small wounds or irritations of the skin.
