FMD, or fibromuscular dysplasia, is an abnormality in the wall of certain arteries in which the tissue grows abnormally, which can narrow, ripple, or weaken the blood vessel.

Possible symptoms: Depending on the artery affected, it may be associated with high blood pressure, headache, ringing in the ears, or dizziness, though in many cases it goes unnoticed.
