About the Doctor

I am a psychiatrist, dedicated to the study and treatment of all mental conditions from a biological and psychodynamic perspective. My way of working is through an evaluation, during which I listen to the reason the patient is seeking care, and then I perform a clinical assessment, which is complemented with requested studies if necessary. Once the diagnosis is identified, I offer the treatment options, and together with the patient we decide what suits them best, focusing on treating patients rather than diseases. Finally, I take time to explain all doubts about the condition, as well as to inform about what is known about the treatments, since there are many doubts and prejudices regarding medications. Appointment requests, questions, and any other matter are handled directly with me, so I may sometimes take a while to respond, but I usually return calls and messages as soon as I can. I have more than ten years of experience with alcoholic patients and their families, which makes me an expert in this area.
