My training as a cardiothoracic surgeon was completed at the Centro Medico Nacional de Occidente, IMSS, an advanced specialty center that treats a large number of patients from different areas of the country, completed in 2015; thanks to this institution I gained my knowledge in the treatment of adults and children with cardiac and thoracic conditions. I later worked as a surgeon assigned to the Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery service at the Centro Medico Nacional del Nororeste, IMSS, for 2 years. My experience during this time has allowed me to achieve certification from the Consejo Nacional de Cirugia de Torax, not only for adults, but also for children.
