About me. Hello, I am Gustavo, I work in mental health and sexual health care, two extremely important areas for every person that sometimes tend to be pushed aside — I am truly happy to be able to help those who seek it out. Today, medicine needs professionals who are up to date, with a comprehensive vision and a contemporary perspective on mental health. Why choose me? Care for mental health and sexual health requires multiple treatment strategies; limiting care to medication alone is a very reductionist view of psychiatry. Psychotherapies help, and there are no one-size-fits-all recipes — every person is unique and unrepeatable, and every life story does not define who we are, but it does explain where we are, so together we will get to know, step by step, how you came to be who you are and how to help you live each day. Main areas of treatment A large part of my practice is focused on care for sexual diversity, as well as for people with a history of multiple forms of violence — complex trauma and its consequences are unimaginable; feel confident coming to a safe place, without revictimization, and where there is no judgment, only great understanding. My practice and my team The in-person practice is located in Colonia Florida, a quiet, safe, accessible neighborhood free of interruptions, which allows for creating an environment and a safe space for your visit. Important to know before your visit: If you need the issuance of any document other than a prescription — that is, a summary, an assessment for work or school, a certificate of need for an emotional support animal — there is an additional cost to the consultation fee. For psychiatric or sexological assessments and/or expert evaluations, fees are to be discussed. You may also ask about rates for populations in situations of social disadvantage.
