About the Doctor

Hi! I'm Dr. Fernando Chávez. I decided to become a Plastic, Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgeon, because my dream was Reconstruction, improving people's quality of life, rebuilding the parts of the body that limit them from living the life they want. This path led me to my next passion: "Cosmetic Plastic Surgery." I love seeing how my work can positively impact my patients' self-esteem, confidence and daily functioning; seeing them rediscover themselves and find their new best version. My main practice is in Mexico, however I also see foreign patients. I can offer the consultation in English or French if necessary. I worked as an instructor in the subject of General Surgery at the medical school and helped as a postgraduate professor of Plastic Surgery. Staying up to date is very important for my profession, this allows me to offer my patients the best options for their treatment as well as the safest. I have participated in numerous conferences on burns, syndromes, art and medicine, history, clinical case presentations, reconstruction and specific procedures such as rhinoplasty; as well as in the Annual International Congresses of the Asociación Mexicana de Cirugía Plástica Estética y Reconstructiva. As for research and publications, for the past 13 years, I have shared articles on plastic, cosmetic and reconstructive surgery topics, with the goal of informing, sharing and presenting research results on cutting-edge and relevant topics in the world of surgery. I have also had the honor of participating in charitable campaigns for breast, lip and cleft palate reconstruction in different states of the Mexican republic, for people of limited resources.
