About the Doctor

As a psychoanalyst, I have had many years of experience in psychoanalytic treatment with adolescents, adults, and couples. I have also worked in schools, retirement homes, with people with different abilities, and as a professor at the undergraduate level. Psychoanalysis is the only psychotherapeutic treatment that takes into account the emotional, cognitive, and physical areas of a person, both at a conscious and unconscious level. These areas are related to work, family, interpersonal relationships, and physical health. Unlike methods based on exercises, training, or explanations at the cognitive level, psychoanalysis focuses on the deep discovery of the origin that has caused the conditions and is the cause of the psychic suffering or discomfort. Psychoanalysis aims at a restructuring of psychic functioning, since that is what maintains and contributes to the formation of symptoms, such as addictions, phobias, depression, eating disorders, impulsivity, negativism, etc.
