About the Doctor

I studied a Bachelor's in Psychology and a Master's in Clinical Psychology from the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico. I have diplomas in psychodrama, couples therapy, clinical interventions with children and adolescents. I am an EFT advisor (Emotional Freedom Technique with tapping). I consider psychological therapy a resource for change. When the way we relate to people and to ourselves causes us distress and no matter how much we try nothing works, it may be time to seek professional help. I am interested in clients clearly identifying their difficulty and finding answers to their problems from the very first session. I work from a gender and human rights perspective, I treat people with dissidences or sexual diversity. For adults, I offer couples therapy and individual therapy both in person and online. For children, I prefer to see them at my office. I propose brief therapy of 1 to 10 sessions, according to the goal defined at the start of treatment. I respect the relevant official Mexican standards (privacy, consent, risk cases). Our society still has myths about who goes to therapy. However, every human being deserves to be heard on their journey toward change and growth. Although the causes of emotional problems are important, we must go beyond knowing them, changing the way they continue to function. It seems difficult, but it isn't that much.
