Dr. Arturo Mendoza Lopez is a Psychiatrist with a private practice in Mexico City. He is a Physician from UNAM and in Canada, and specialized in Psychiatry in the United States at Sheppard Pratt Hospital in Baltimore, where he also completed the subspecialty of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Family Therapy. He finally trained as a Psychoanalyst at the Asociacion Psicoanalitica Mexicana in Mexico City. He has more than 40 years of medical experience, in which his areas of expertise have focused on helping people of all ages, ranging from childhood to old age, and their families. He has also been a leader at the Instituto Nacional de Salud Mental (DIF) and at the Hospital Infantil de Mexico, Federico Gomez. In the private sector he worked at the Grupo Psiquiatrico Infantil de Mexico and is a member of Hospital ABC. He was also president of the Asociacion Mexicana de Psiquiatria Infantil, was president of the Sociedad Mexicana de Neurologia y Psiquiatria, and is president of the Comision de Honor of the Sociedad Mexicana de Neurologia y Psiquiatria. He is currently a Member of 30 prestigious Medical Associations and is currently active in thirteen of them. Finally, he was a Professor at various renowned academic institutions and has given more than 200 lectures on various topics in psychiatry.
