About the Doctor

I am Dr. Alberto Garcia Menendez, physician on staff of the Gastroenterology service at Hospital Espanol for 25 years; I have also been practicing the specialty of Gastroenterologist for more than 27 years. At a first visit we begin with a medical history in order to conduct a guided interview (active listening with the patient); afterward a physical assessment is carried out in order to determine a diagnosis that points us to a particular study, or whether we can already give an initial treatment. It's essential to have approximately 45 minutes available for the first visit. It's important to mention that if you have prior studies, they can be brought to the visit for assessment, to know whether we need any others or if they are sufficient.
