About the Doctor

Dr. Adriana Lozano Platonoff is a surgeon who graduated from La Salle University. She studied a diploma course in "Diabetes Educator" at the National Autonomous University of Mexico/Mexican Federation of Diabetes in Mexico City, and later a course on Abdominal Obesity and Cardiometabolic Risk at Hospital Angeles del Pedregal in Mexico City. She did a stay at The Wound Care Clinic, at South West General Hospital, San Antonio, Texas. She took several courses such as The Wound Care Course and Hyperbaric Medicine Team Training, at the Nix Medical Center, San Antonio, Texas. She completed a diploma course in "Training of Tutors in Clinical Research" at the Autonomous University of Mexico/"Dr. Manuel Gea Gonzalez" General Hospital, and another in "Research Methodology" at Universidad Panamericana. She currently practices privately in Mexico City and is a research physician attached to the wound clinic, Dermatology division, of the "Dr. Manuel Gea Gonzalez" General Hospital, where she carries out several research protocols in the field of advanced wound management such as regeneration, growth factors, stem cells, electrostimulation, platelet-rich plasma, quality of life in patients with wounds, types of pain and treatment in patients with chronic wounds, and types of compression, among others. She is a professor of "Advanced Wound Management" at the "Dr. Manuel Gea Gonzalez" General Hospital in Mexico City, as well as an undergraduate professor in the subject "Advanced Wound Management" and a graduate professor in the master's program "Wound, Ostomy and Burn Therapy" at the school of medicine and nursing of Universidad Panamericana. Speaker at national and international conferences and courses on advanced wound management. Author of various articles and co-author of several national and international books. Active Member of National and International Associations such as: - Vice President of the Mexican Association for Comprehensive Wound Care and Healing, A.C.
